Girl group 9nine has hit the restart button. The group will change their label to
SME records and will be introduced as a “performance girls unit”. Furthermore, 9nine’s line-up will also change, as two members were added to replace the two original members, who left.
Although 9nine was originally a 9-member group, some of the members exited the project, which reduced the unit’s size to 5 in 2009. Towards the end of last month, another two members, Miura Moe (17) and Shimogaki Madoka (18) announced on their blogs that they will not be participating in any future 9nine activities.
Yoshii Kanae (17) and Murata Hirona (13) will be joining the three remaining original members: Satake Uki (18), Nishiwaki Sayaka (17) and Kawashima Umika (16).
More information about the new group’s activities will be disclosed later. However, beginning on the 27th, 9nine’s show on MX-TV will debut. The show’s title has not yet been announced, but TokyoHive will make an update about it once it’s out!
